Taking it Public: My First Public Public Performance.

My first public public performance has come and gone and I must say I had a BLAST. I have performed in front of people before, but not on pole in front of complete strangers at a bar downtown. And not on spin...with my "hardest" skill at the end. I love the entire process of working on something and putting it out there to share with the world. It is such an empowering feeling and just adds another notch to this amazing pole journey that I have undertaken. I must admit, I was completely out of breath when I walked off the stage, but I pushed through. Performing is def. MUCH harder than learning tricks in class. But a good challenge. So I encourage everyone to do it at least once, for yourself. The hardest

Check out the performance below:

The hardest part of performing for me is always the anticipation. As I was waiting to go on, I kept running my routine in my head so that I could hit my marks and flow seamlessly. If we are being honest...when it was time for me to actually perform, I forgot a small section of my performance and had to kind of roll with it (literally, bonus points if you can spot the error...lol.) and I also decided mid move to improvise in another section because I was feeling it. I think this performance was good for me because it reminded me to just have fun. It reminded me why I do pole, and most importantly, it gave me the opportunity to create.

Can't wait to perform again!
